1. Click on the Land Statistics button at the bottom of the application as shown below.
2. The Land Statistics Tool opens as shown below.
3. In the regions box expand the folders by clicking on the arrows as shown below.
4. Select a region or country as shown below.
Note: Data for the selected region will only be available for selection.
5. This is a required section where all fields need to be filled as shown below.
Note:
- When you upload your own zipped tiff file make sure the zip contains all associated files: tif, tfw, xml, etc.
Once layers are selected, they appear in the box and the map. You can remove them by clicking on the X button.
Statistics Type
All — All of the statistics will be calculated. This is the default.
Mean — Calculates the average of all cells in the value raster that belong to the same zone as the output cell.
Majority — Determines the value that occurs most often of all cells in the value raster that belong to the same zone as the output cell.
Maximum — Determines the largest value of all cells in the value raster that belong to the same zone as the output cell.
Median — Determines the median value of all cells in the value raster that belong to the same zone as the output cell.
Minimum — Determines the smallest value of all cells in the value raster that belong to the same zone as the output cell.
Minority — Determines the value that occurs least often of all cells in the value raster that belong to the same zone as the output cell.
Range — Calculates the difference between the largest and smallest value of all cells in the value raster that belong to the same zone as the output cell.
Standard Deviation — Calculates the standard deviation of all cells in the value raster that belong to the same zone as the output cell.
Sum — Calculates the total value of all cells in the value raster that belong to the same zone as the output cell.
Variety — Calculates the number of unique values for all cells in the value raster that belong to the same zone as the output cell.
Field Identifier
String or alphanumeric values that will be concatenated with output table field headers. They should be unique.
6. Choose the optional field.
Upload a zipped shapefile that will be used to further group the output. To achieve this, a field needs to be selected as shown below.
7. Click on the Output Download tab and provide email (optional) and click on the Run button.
The result appear in this window for download.
