Land Similarity

 

 

1. Click on the Land Similarity button at the bottom of the application as shown below.


2. The Land Similarity Tool opens as shown below.


3. In the regions box expand the folders by clicking on the arrows as shown below.


4. Select a region or country as shown below.

Note: Data for the selected region will only be available for selection.

5. This is a required section where all fields need to be filled as shown below.

Note:

  • At least two layers needs to be selected or uploaded. For better results, the cell size and registration of the layer and that of the target point layer should be the same.
  • Multipoint datasets are not supported as input.


Once layers are selected, they appear in the box and the map. You can remove them by clicking on the X button.


6. Choose the optional field.


7. Click on the Output Download tab and provide email (optional) and click on the Run button.

The result appears in this window for download and informs you that the result is drawn on the map.

Note:

    Use any of the options to select or upload the target boundary.
  • To draw on the map, click on Draw on the map and choose a drawing style below and start drawing on the map.
  • To select already uploaded shapefile, click on Select a layer and choose the layer from a drop down that will appear below.
  • To upload a zipped shapefile, choose Upload a zipped Shapefile and click on Add Shapefile button to browse and upload a zipped shapefile from your computer.
